Proms at St Jude’s ‘Last Night of the Proms’ a family-focused event 2019; sponsorship of large screen 2018

‘Together, we are Barnet’ Supporting Barnet Council’s campaign celebrating the inspiring stories of the rich mix of people who call Barnet home, highlighting some of the many groups, sports teams and local projects, as well as individuals, who contribute so much to the Barnet community

Clitterhouse Farm Project. Contribution to their crowdfunding appeal for the construction of a new expanded community café and three workshop spaces at Clitterhouse Farm, as well as other in-kind support.

Schools’ Proms by Proms at St Jude’s – Schools’ Promenade concerts with a theme of Planets, Moons and Stars. Six local schools are involved: St Mary’s and St John’s and Whitefield secondary schools; and All Saints, Childs Hill, Claremont, and Wessex Gardens primary schools. All the schools will come together for an inter-school performance in October 2019.

Young Community Change-makers: Mentoring young people to deliver events for young people in the community, delivered by the Youth Sport Trust. Nicola Minichiello (British Bobsleigh) has mentored students at two schools to date, Whitefield and Hendon secondary schools. Students have had lots of ideas of how they can implement change across their community and peers and have some exciting projects to start in September 2019.

The Big Outdoors 2019. A two-day sports-focused event in Clitterhouse Playing Fields designed to encourage adults and children alike to get involved in some kind of activity. The event showcased: parkour; baseball/softball; volleyball; boxing; decathlon zone including football, archery, basketball, badminton; climbing wall; inflatable football pitch; circus skills; and a soft play area for the very young. This event was also held in 2018
